Students
Members of the English department have been guiding students in seminar, cultural and research components for EXAP, from the very inception of the programme. Further, students have been guided for research in collection of oral narratives, in compiling home remedies for a variety of ailments (the findings were presented in a booklet named Grandma's Home Remedies), in researching the use of water in a number of religious traditions and rituals (the findings were presented in a poster exhibition). The Department has also organized several student seminars at the intra- and inter-collegiate levels on subjects like Existentialism, Partition Literature, Women's Voices in Contemporary British Literature.

Dr. (Sr.) Ananda Amritmahal
- Dr. (Sr.) Ananda Amritmahal’s doctoral thesis was “A Feminist Critical Perspective on the Work of Shashi Deshpande and Mahasweta Devi”
- She has also worked on “The Representation of Women in Kiran Nagarkar's Cuckold ” as well as on the epistemological and methodological foundations of Women's Studies (“New Wineskins: Women's Studies Today” , “A Shift in Perspective: Epistemology and Pedagogy in Women's Studies” and “Rethinking the Canon: The Interface between Women's Studies and Established Systems of Knowledge”)
- Another area of interest for Sr. Ananda is feminist re-readings of myth and scripture, and feminist spirituality and theology. She is frequently invited as a resource person to speak on these topics.
- Further, Sr. Amritmahal collaborated on a research project entitled “A Comparative Study of Some Indian and European Women Mystic Poets (Hildegard of Bingen, Julian of Norwich, Janabai and Mirabai)” They have presented papers on aspects of this topic as resource persons at various academic programmes.

Her current research interests include Translation (Theory and Practice), Popular Culture, Graphic Narratives, Visual Literacies and Critical Theory.
